Friends,
April and May will be all Theatre for me, as I’m acting in a couple projects (the 2nd of which you shall hear about very soon). First off, I’m in this whacky, mordant lil’ play by the late Pedro Pietri, directed by my old friend Juan Valenzuela. Bad Bunny has incorporated the legacy of poet and activist Pietri into his work. We first did a reading of this play years back at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, so it’s been fun to revisit. It’s going up for a short 12 show run at Latea at the Clemente 107 Suffolk Street, in my old hood on the LES. After the show on April 23rd there will be a little party too for some guy’s birthday.
