Yup.
Nevermind that I’m on the fence on the whole taking money-from-the crowd thing anyway (when there are people out there with deep frickin’ pockets in the industry who are supposed to be at the ready to fund new stuff already), but hearing that an entrenched H’wood insider is raking from Kickstarter just turns my stomach. He’s made 1.5 mil and is on his way to making his desired 2 mil. That’s money that might very well have gone to small, struggling projects. Ok, so Braff’s never been a fave of mine, esp. after (a) that phony Garden State crap he took, (b) seeing him arm and arm on the street with a super model (him?! how?! I’ll tell you how, $$), and (c) I’ve been suspect since witnessing the odd way he pats a pizza slice down on my Lower East Side with paper towels (he then blows on it an inch from the table), but this takes the cake, or pizza. I haven’t met him so I’m not all to comfortable judging the man – I’d rather give him the benefit of the doubt (hey maybe he’s a sweetheart?) – but this is just not cool man.
